Athens Municipal Court Marriage Records

Marriage records are documents that verify that a marriage has taken place. The Athens County Municipal Court does not issue marriage licenses (the document that authorizes two persons to get married) or maintain marriage records. In Athens County, these records are maintained by the Probate Division of the Court of Common Pleas, commonly called the Probate Court.

Athens County marriage records can be accessed online through the Probate Court's Record Search Portal. Searches can be executed using the name of either couple. Individuals can also view these records in person at the Probate Court Clerk's Office or by mailing in a request.
